Your new account can be opened in three easy steps:
- Complete this application online.
- Wait to have your application confirmed. Please wait for Customer Service to contact you before you visit a branch. A Compass representative will contact you within two business days.
- Visit a Compass Bank branch so we can confirm your identity. When the Compass representative contacts you, they will set up an appointment in the local Compass Bank branch that is most convenient for you to visit.

We must obtain certain information from you so, before you begin, please be sure to have the following information available:
- Your Business Name and Names of all Authorized Signers
- Current Business Street Address
- Taxpayer Identification Number for Business (and all Authorized Signers if required by Bank policy)
- Ownership Structure
- Document Establishing Legal Existence
Acceptable Document Types include:
- Business License
- Assumed Name Certificate
- Certificate of Good Standing
- Articles of Incorporation
- Partnership Agreement
- Certificate of Limited Partnership
- Articles of Organization
- Trust Agreement
- Letters Testamentary
- Other (with Bank approval)
We may also ask to see other information that will allow us to identify you and all account authorized signers such as a current driver’s license or passport.
